Ms. Nana Annan, JD, has been Chief Operating Officer at the Boys’ Club of New York (BCNY) since October 2013.
In this role, she is responsible for executing strategic plans to strengthen and streamline the organization’s
management capacity. Ms. Annan is also responsible for managing a wide range of operational areas including
Human Resources, Information Technology, Facilities, Compliance, and Risk Management.
After law school, Ms. Annan became a Communications Strategy Consultant on the campaign team for the
President of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo where she worked directly with him and
senior staff members on a broad range of proposed government policies. While at Boston University School of
Law, Ms. Annan, through the Civil Litigation Program, was a student attorney at Greater Boston Legal Services
where she focused on cases related to Asylum and Human Rights Law. She also did semester-long internships
at the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), in Washington D.C. and Kids in Need of Defense (KIND)
in Boston, MA. In 2010, after her first year at Boston University, Ms. Annan was selected as a Graduate Fellow
in the highly competitive Education Pioneers Fellowship program in New York City. Prior to attending Boston
University School of Law, Ms. Annan worked for ten years at investment bank, Morgan Stanley, in a variety of
project management and Information Technology positions.
Ms. Annan is the 2019 recipient of the Boston University School of Law Young Lawyers Chair award, which is
annually presented to an alumnus whose performance and commitment reflects great credit upon the School
of Law, in recognition of her work since graduating from the Law School. In addition to her work at The Boys’
Club of New York, Ms. Annan serves as an advisor and ambassador on the board of directors at MunaLuchi
Bride, an international bridal organization and publication that specializes in the multicultural wedding
market. She has presented at various retreats and conferences on a number of business topics. She is a member
of the Professional Photographers of America and as a professional photographer, has been published in
magazines and on multiple national and international platforms and media.
Ms. Annan has a Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Computer
Science from Spelman College. She lives in New Jersey with her husband and two children.
