Lisa Opoku is the Chief Operating Officer for Goldman Sachs’ Securities Division in Asia Pacific. Based in Hong Kong, the mother of two is one of the company’s leading investment banking executives. She joined Goldman Sachs in 2004 as an attorney and became the COO for New York and London FICC Bank Loan Syndications and Trading businesses in 2005. She was named managing director 2006 and partner in 2012.
Lisa earned a BA degree in Sociology from the University of Minnesota and a JD degree from Harvard Law School. In 2012, Forbes listed her as one of the “20 Youngest Power Women in Africa.” She was also named one of the “40 Rising Stars Under 40” by Black Enterprise magazine.
